Kerala Cafe in Cardiff truly impressed me! The food is packed with authentic Kerala flavors, and the cozy atmosphere makes it even better. But what really stood out was the service—the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The best part? They went out of their way to customize the Beef Kili Parotta exactly the way I requested, and it turned out amazing. It’s rare to find a place that’s so flexible and customer-focused. Definitely one of the best South Indian dining experiences I’ve had in Cardiff.

Delicious Kerala food with a real homemade touch! We had paal kappa with beef curry and fish curry with porotta – everything was full of flavour and perfectly cooked. A bit of waiting because everything is freshly cooked- but honestly it is worth the wait I would say. Excellent service too. Highly recommend!

Excellent lunch. Really tasty lentil doughnuts with chutneys to start and then a spicy chickpea curry and chapati for main. Great service from Sohad (sorry about the spelling).

First timer here. Loved the service and food. Dining here was a fab experience. No compromise on taste or the quality of food. Each item has decent portion. I had porotta and fish curry. It was really nice. I usually dont prefer beef from restaurants, but their beef curry was really good. Ended up buying take out. Was not a planned visit, and this was best experience. Need to wait as every dish is freshly prepared. The staff, Anagha was really lovely. She took good care of the customers. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about what they are doing. Looking forward to see a branch i. Swansea.

We had an amazing evening meal with our family and friends at this wonderful restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff (especially the Manager-Anakha, who even looked after our baby so that we could eat our food peacefully) were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Being a Keralite, I found the food outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. Every dish we tried was delicious, and it was clear that great care went into the preparation. Whether you're visiting with family or friends and want to experience the flavour of Kerala, India, this place is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be coming back!

They didn't have the special that was on the boards, sold out. Then rub it off the board then, simple. Anyway, most people eating are South Indian and using their hands : welcome to flavour again. Another wonderful onion bhaji and a chilli chicken starter. I love it when starters are under a fiver, making mixing and matching so much easier. My Beef Kizhi Paratha is served wrapped in foil and a banana leaf. It's an outstanding curry on top of flatbread. Another generous portion and plenty of leftovers. Top tier stuff.

We had a fantastic meal here at Kerala Cafe! Nisar and his team are extremely friendly and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable about the menu and were very happy to make recommendations of courses to try. All of the food was tasty and perfectly cooked. The authenticity of the dishes was explained to us, and the food was clearly cooked fresh, and the meat cooked to perfection. The chefs and front of house staff were accommodating and helpful. Nisar is clearly passionate about bringing his food and culture to Cardiff and he represents it with pride and honesty. It was a real pleasure to eat here and we will be eating here again! Thank you for a lovely evening!

The atmosphere here is amazing Best Kerela Food I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Made me feel like I was eating homemade food in Kerela. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Will definitely come again. Keep up the good work.
